I used to do that. Now I get mutt to it when I open the folder; I often want messages filed in multiple folders, but don't want multiple instances of the same message in a folder: folder-hook . 'push ":set auto_tag=no<enter><untag-pattern>~T<enter><tag-pattern>~=<enter><tag-prefix-cond><delete-message><untag-pattern>~T<enter><end-cond>:set auto_tag=yes<enter>"' Auto_tag off, remove any current tags, tag all dups, delete, untag, turn auto_tag back on. | > I presume to facilitate dropping messages into the receiver's "for me" | > folder more readily. | | I store list e-mails in an mbox: ~/Mail/[list name] . Me too. The point here is that if you CC the author, then discussions in which the author is involved show up in the inbox instead of only in the list folder. This doesn't make everyone happy though. | > Is this a problem? I can try to not do this for you. | | Just a minor annoyance. I automatically hit 'L', nad Mutt gripes | about it. Then I hit 'r' to reply, move to your name in vim, then D | to remove the rest of the line, and then type mutt-users...... Try 'g'; it keeps both me and the mutt-users.
