Note that this patch probably (I'm not familiar enough with the internals to
be sure) does not fix the related bug in which a message dated to be in the
year 1900 (I received one today from a guy who pretended to be "Y2K
striken"...) gets sorted wrongly in the pager (1900-01-01 was sorted to be
2036-02-07).
