Its ok to create your own message ids if and only if you are using
your own name space to generate them, so that you are not interfering
in third party rights. Then the uniqueness issue is your very own
problem.
But the domain of the users mail address is usually not this users
private domain, and thats why mozilla's message id generating method
is simply broken.
