I was a 20-year old student. Nearly bought one a couple of times in the 70s, but nowhere to keep it and a family changed that. Finally got the 4-seater in 1996. The +8 followed in 2003, when it was clear the end was nigh for the Rover/Land Rover V8-engined cars.
