If you want to get mpeg output you can't do that with the mjpegtools.

If you use AVI. If you use Quicktime you usually don't have that limit.

You can watch the input of the zoran card with xawtv (or any other TV
application), and record what you see with lavrec. That is no problem.

If you enter the %0xd also to the filename it will very likely work.

If you meant movtar, you should not use it any more. If you have a
sizelimit with quicktime, you might have them because the glibc cannot
handle more that 2GB files. Or a restriction of the filesystem you use.

If you use a up to date distibution you should not have the 2GB
sizelimit in quicktime. Which distribution, and filesystem do you use ?
