lavrec does not start recording :-/
You have pressed the Initialize button before ? are you route ?
You have also set in the options the video options correct ?

Please start LVS (=Linuxvideostudio) again with the -d option and attach
that output beginning with the lavrec command. That should give hintw
what fails. 
Should begin with: Executing:  lavrec.....

You have to replace the x with a number !!! So the filename lookes like
that: video%02d.avi else ist won't work.
