I am using Mandrake 10.0 and the 2.6 kernel also. I don't have the /etc/modules.conf answer that you're looking for, but I simply added
modprobe zr36067 at the end my /etc/rc.local. It's probably not the best way to go about getting the DC10+ modules loaded, but it is simple and it works.
