I neither have a DC10+ nor I'm using kernel of the 2.6 series, but I
already tested it. So I think the suggested line

                alias char-major-81-0 zr36067

should work. But the file is not /etc/modules.conf anymore. The file to
iclude this line in is /etc/modprobe.conf for the new kernels.
