This is what I mean by input only on the 50. On the 100 you can play back DV video and send the output to a TV using the TV out on the box. AFAIK you can't do this with the 50. > But for a show I want to keep I'd like to have a high quality method too... I am archiving all my TV shows onto DVD. I figure if it is worth watching, it's worth keeping in high quality, with the exception of "The O'Reilly Factor" maybe. That is a watch once and delete show. This is why I ditched the mjpeg cards, not archive quality for me. > > So just to ask, if you use the canopus to record shows, how does your > computer changes channels on the source you have connected to it? I use the awesome RedRat2 IR Transmitter and perl glue to do the dirty work. As I've recommended to many other on the list I recommend it to you too. It works FLAWLESS for me. You can perform unbelievable acts of complication using a RedRat2 and a few lines of perl. --Aaron ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility Learn to use your power at OSDN's High Performance Computing Channel http://hpc.devchannel.org/ _______________________________________________ Mjpeg-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mjpeg-users
