This is what I mean by input only on the 50.  On the 100 you can play
back DV video and send the output to a TV using the TV out on the box.
AFAIK you can't do this with the 50.

I am archiving all my TV shows onto DVD. I figure if it is worth
watching, it's worth keeping in high quality, with the exception of "The
O'Reilly Factor" maybe. That is a watch once and delete show. This is
why I ditched the mjpeg cards, not archive quality for me.

I use the awesome RedRat2 IR Transmitter and perl glue to do the dirty
work. As I've recommended to many other on the list I recommend it to
you too. It works FLAWLESS for me. You can perform unbelievable acts of
complication using a RedRat2 and a few lines of perl.
