First, the island sustained an indigenous population thousands of
years prior to its colonization by Portuguese, Chinese, and Dutch

As for all of Asia cheering when Pearl Harbor was bombed by the
Japanese, clearly that "all" doesn't include the Chinese people
themselves, battling for years against Japanese imperialism.
The enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend. That's fundamental to
/class/ struggle.
