Capital does not always or mostly require war to resolve its international political and economic disputes. As mentioned above, Lenin, not an idiot, referred to the 1860-1880 period as one in which, though scattered wars broke out, " free competition was predominant" in relations between states. That has become even more the case in the nuclear age over the past 80 years.
