There is much to unpack in this brief paragraph, first let me say that the CPUSA
has become so ossified ,and has lost so much credibility in recent decades
because of repeated endorsements of the Democratic Party, as to become
irrrelevant, a joke, and a shadow of what it was before WWII. Anybody who
doubts this need only to examine the history of the CPUSA in the last seventy
years.

While those behind the Movement For A People's Party have their hearts in the
right place, I have yet to hear any of the advocates for this address any of
the root causes of the mess the US in in. That being capitalism, and the class
structure, and imperialism capitalism creates. While there may be some in the
Movement For A People's Party who believe this, those I have not heard do not
directly address capitalism/imperialism as the culprit. Even Dr. Cornell West,
in my opinion, dances around this subject. The People's Party advocates I have
heard, use the same wishy-washy rhetoric of avoidance we heard from Bernie in
2016, and continue to hear from the likes of AOC and "The Squad".

I disagree with the assesment Marx and Marxism has become irrelevant. In a
multopolar world, with new forms of opression in the de-industriaized west
(Amazon ,fast food, Wal-Mart, gig workers, etc.), we need Marx and Marxism more
than ever. I agree that a big problem, as far as I see it, at least in the US,
is the fact the Marxist left is too divided among the sectarian lines. I wish
we could somehow get the PSL, Socialist Alternative, Worker's World, and openly
Marxist elements of the DSA, to join together in either a new party, or at
least a coalition, I think we could accomplish a lot more.

Another problem I see is too many self-identified Marxists, socialists,
leftists, etc are too busy posting on the internet, blogs, social media, etc.
This is often the case with younger people. We need to convince more people to
get off their computers and phones, and get out in the streets, and organize.
As someone in their sixties, who is seriously disabled, I say no matter your age
or limitations, you can join a movement, or get out in the streets and do
something, if you are really motivated.
