Domains in .auto cost about $2500, and there's only 490 names, so I would expect the trickle of mail to be qute clean. In .xxx they're about $100, 7100 names, so that'd be pretty clean, too. The problem is from the new TLDs that had low prices and absurd expectations about registration numbers, then paniced and offered bulk discounts which of course only are only of interest to crooks. I agree that overall, the new TLD program has been a failure and makes a mockery of ICANN's claim to operate as a public charity in the interests of the public.
