FWIW, we use a custom SpamAssassin negative rule that adds to an email's score if the sender's TLD is not in a list of TLDs from which our customers receive legitimate email.
Typically, emails from those tertiary TLDs get some positive SpamAssassin score already, and our rule's score then puts them over the top and into customers' Junk folders. We developed the list of "allowed" TLDs by polling our customers, and only a small handful of additional TLDs have had to be added later, when a customer realized they neglected to mention a TLD from which they receive infrequent, but legitimate email. The rule looks like this (I'm not including all the TLDs we allow): header MCE_FROM_TLD From !~ /@[a-z0-9\-\.]+\.(com|mil|org|<other desired TLDs>)/i describe MCE_FROM_TLD From address is not in a preapproved TLD score MCE_FROM_TLD 3.5 Hope that helps, Mark -- _________________________________________________________________ L.
