Ah I see. That makes sense. Things like "Mailbox Over Quota" or a slew of other errors that are "non-temporary" but don't specifically indicate "this mailbox doesn't exist" are probably worth a couple of tries. I've heard people say you should retry an address that returned "5xx No such user" or "5xx invalid recipient address" and I thought that's what you were suggesting.
