Randy,

**Suggestions**:
* Perhaps you need to troubleshoot it by (temporarily) moving the sub-mailbox to a regular smart mailbox and see if it makes a difference to your actions.I don’t use sub-mailboxes in my rules. Could be some limitations there. * Another possibility, there is a default in the action setting to adjust the action occurrence in the rule, limiting it to the start of a day. Perhaps this is your issue in the cascading rules process?

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden

What are you actually seeing happen at Rule 2? Perhaps there is some relationship between the Rules that is missing. Can you be more specific on the settings, pls.

The code formatting seems to not have come through.

"Smart Mailbox 2" is a sub-mailbox of "Smart Mailbox 1" and "Rule" is attached to "Smart Mailbox 2".

I would expect for "Smart Mailbox 2" to always be empty because any messages that fall into it would be deleted by the rule (i.e., a message is 15-days old and falls into "Smart Mailbox 2" and the rule evaluates the message and permanetly deletes it). However, that is not the case for me. Messages older than 14 days appear in "Smart Mailbox 2" and is never deleted by the rule.

Deleted Messages
__Smart Mailbox 1 [Filters for em...@example.com]
____Smart Mailbox 2 [Filters for messages received not within the last 14 days] _______Rule [Permanently deletes messages received not within the last 14 days]
