If at all things were that simple :)

make install clean ..doesnt often work well as the super cow powered apt-get
does..( I have experiance on rehat/debian/freebsd and its easier to fix
somthing on debian > redhat > freebsd)

also systems like Debian (I admit we are tied to certain versions;but who
wants cutting edge on a production system ) gets things done more elegantly
with less user interaction ;)  .


Also security wise - i think all systems as vulnerable ;its how we tie the
holes up that matters ; where is selinux in bsd kernel ? . we have iptables
for ipfw .Also gnU has better user base ;so more the eyeballs..lesser the
bugs.


As I said BSD is good ;but its not the best .we buy a car to drive and not
to repair it everyday..thinking in that sense ..debian is much better than
*BSD
