Recently I started using(studying) BSD systems. In my experience there is not much difference in configuring BSD systems and Linux systems. But when comming to security, BSD systems definitely have a lot of advantages over Linux systems. I liked the Wheel user group thing in BSDs.
The Ports system is the thing in FreeBSD which i like most. Next good thing is the Packet Filter in OpenBSD. I just documented everything which i find relevant in a wiki. I placing the link here.
