This way you will always use the DAC from the iPod. Because the sound that comes through 3.5» is analog. Unless you have a very expensive hifi upsample box or something other expensive hifi equipment. But, you never know with theese apps. It may be one app out there that can improve the signal before conversion to analog or even improve the use of the analog conversion. Who knows?
