Unfortunately, I think that John is correct.

I tried installing the Adam voice, and that went fine. When I tried switching over to the voice however, thank God my voiceover didn't totally hang and go to no speech at all, but it did seem to revert back to Alex, and when I looked with my vo+command+left and right arrow to kove to the voice option, it said Null.

I just rebooted. We'll see if that helps, but at this rate, I'm not very hopeful, and one of my friends even told me that when he tried getting a refund once a while back, granted he bought a Windows version, not a mac version, but still, he said they were so unwilling to refund him, that he finally had to open a claim with Paypal, and paypal took action, and refunded him, and flagged Cereproc for negative transaction activity.

We'll see what happens, but at this point, I'm completely unimpressed.

Chris.

Yes, those voices are really good. Admitedly, I think the nuance voices are a bit better, but speech is a very subjective thing.

Hi guys. Well, it's been two years now with my Mac and I've loved every moment of it, including the frustrating ones. Lol. But that's not what my subject is about. Last night, as I was catching up on almost 100 forum posts on SamNet, I read one of Mike Arrigo's forum posts about his Android Chat that he does weekly and he mentioned about these voices for the Android called Cereproc. Well, for those of you that wish there were more alternatives besides Nuance, Cepstral, and Acapela, these same Cereproc voices for the Android are also available for the Mac. I went to their website to see how good these voices sound and, in my opinion, they beat both Nuance and Acapela. They are really good! As a matter of fact, if I can't, ahem, find a torrent for them, I'm thinking of buying a few of them. The price is pretty affordable, about $42 US. I don't know how much that converts to in Canadian dollars, but I really like them and want to get them. So thanks Mike for introducing me to these voices.
