I listened to a few. Personally I find them a bit choppy and not as smooth as the voices you can get with the mac by default. Still, synthesized speech is one of the most subjective things in the blindness community, so to each their own, I say.
On a practical note, I had trouble getting the sound files to play. I had to interact with the link for the sample, then vo-right to the actual link (not the image), route the mouse with vo-cmd-f5, and click with vo-shift-space.
