You'll need a TOSlink to MiniTOSlink cable like this one for $4
http://sewelldirect.com/Toslink-to-35mm-Mini-Audio-Cable-15-ft.asp
When I first set my mini up for home theatre stuff I went to all the
usual places like BestBuy, RadioShack and even the Apple store. None of
them knew what I was talking about. So you pretty much have to order the
cable from your favorite supplier on the web. The one end is the usual
square-ish fibre optic connector which fits most home theatre systems.
The other end is shaped like a mini headphone jack. The main difference
is it's not an electrical connection. There is a small hole in the tip
for light to go into and out of. My cable came with little caps to keep
dirt from getting into the tips which I kept on until the very moment I
plug them into my mini or stereo.

If you want, you can also hook it up to a surround-sound home theater system
and get all the 5.1 DVD goodness from your mini as well. The headphone jack is
both an analog audio out and a digital optical out.

Yes it does but, there terrible little things. You will probably need to plug
in speakers or use headphones.

Does the mac mini have a built in speaker?
I asked the apple reps at my local apple store, but can't seem to get a strait
answer.
Thanks in advance for all the help!
