Marsha, who is your mail provider? I have a gmail acount as well, and have tried to configure it under the pop3 setting, and have set it up under both ports recommended under the "macworld," website I think it was that I found the info, and it keeps asking me to verify the certificate and telling me it doesn't recognize the acount whenever I try to log on, and when I tell it to connect anyway, it won't download my messages. However, when I connect it under imap, it downloads months worth of mail that I've already read, and won't delete them, so I'm really frustrated hear, and really don't want to keep having to migrate back and forth between my pc and my mac just to check my messages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marcia Yale" <dragonca...@gmail.com>

Mail is a bit tricky since it works a bit differently depending how you
choose to move around. If you tab from section to section, you can use
simple arrow keys to move through first your list of mailboxes and then
through your list of messages. However, if you use VO-right-arrow
(control-option-right-arrow) to move around, you need to make use of the
interacting commands (VO-shift-down-arrow to interact and VO-shift-up-arrow
to stop the interaction) to interact with the tables--first the list of
mailboxes and then the list of messages. I would suggest trying to remember
to tab around and save yourself the need to interact with the tables. I've
been using Mail since September, so I'm also a fairly new user.

Brian
When I go into mail I hear there are 500 some messages. These are in my
gmail inbox. I don't find the list of messages. I find things like inbox
edit and empty table. Fact is, I'm not getting to my messages.
The real fact is, I've been studying this computer four a couple months and
really not grasping how things like mail work.
