It sounds like you might want to do a clean install of Lion. This isn't
normal behavior at all.
The only one of your experiences I've shared is the butchering of iTunes. I
think this is more do to the new iTunes than Lion though.

iTunes is *ungodly slow, honestly, it's as bad as being on a Windows

app, I'm taken to the desktop, and have to perform a Cmd-tab to actually get
myself into the app.
Lastly, I installed Samantha, but gave up on her. I'm now back with
Victoria. Samantha was not indicating sentence endings at all. If there was a
period, she just went right on reading with no pause or inflection, as though
the period wasn't even there.
As I've said, I was gone most of last night, so haven't had a ton of time
to sort through things yet. But those are some of the things I'm not liking at
the moment. As I think Zack said, hopefully there will be an update that will
address some of these things.
