Not only is the simulator not accessible via voiceover on the Mac, it
also doesn't even simulate the iPhone's accessibility technologies so a
developer can't simulate high contrast, magnification or voiceover on
the phone. This can be problematic since a developer can create iPhone
apps with clickable (tap-able) regions that work in the simulator but
are not accessible with voiceover. The only way to test accessibility
today is to download the actual build to an iPhone and try stuff out
there. This makes things a bit complex because now it expects the
average developer to not only know voiceover exists, but to actually
turn it on and learn the new gesture system to test things out. I
suspect most will not do this.

I do believe the simulator will be completely inaccessible, but I've not played
with it yet.
Perhaps I can blast it straight to the phone--it will be slower I'm sure.
Will let you know more when I know for sure.

Hello all,
Any blind developer was able to successfully write an iPhone app? What gochas,
difficulties did you have to deal with?
Thanks,
