That's me.

Right now, the auto-layout support in RenaissanceX only works for Mac desktop
applications. I've been doing some research, and it looks like we'll be able to
do something similar for iPhone/iPad. As you may know, Apple didn't just port
Cocoa to the iPhone. Cocoa was sort of re-invented. The new classes work
similar, and support enough of the same functionality so that auto-layout
should be able to work. However, there will need to be a fair bit of tweaking.
So, it's possible, but it will take time. There probably won't be anything for
people to try before six months.

Until then, as a blind guy, the only way that you can build your user
interfaces on the iPhone or iPad is to create them entirely from code. That is
profoundly slow.

Victor, try the mv-dev Google group. Most of the blind Mac devs hang out there.

Hi,
The simulator is inaccessible. Well, the simulator itself is not, but the App
shows up as an iPhone app does which will, logically, make it unreadable. This
is because with the mouse, as an iPhone developer, you actually have to perform
the gestures with a mouse, so the question as to whether it could literally
simulate the iPhone's VoiceOver is probably questionable.

As for the Interface Builder, someone mentioned on here a place to get a
program which could essentially place the objects to your liking just by
writing it. You know who you are. :) I can't find the link, nor by searching so
I'm not sure where it went. I can't find it on my Mac either, but I swear I
saved it. Sorry.

Regards,
Nic
