there are still some significant parts of the u. s. where high speed cannot exist due to physical reasons. further the cost for internet in the states is far higher than in most developing countries. What you state about the issues with Internet factual levels is of course a fine point, nothing prevents a person from posting whatever they like on the web..i. e. President Obama is a Muslim. Still traditional sources of information remain, radio, television, newspapers, etc. One can if one wishes become informed about issues and make decisions by voting.
