You wouldn’t release in just a few areas because that’s not how business or
Apple works on that scale. It’s all about Margins, you have to keep the
margins in order. If I make a phone that’s technically as complex but just
sell it in 2 markets I don’t benefit from the gains in supply chain and
scalability across the entire company. Further more I won’t make as much per
unit. If I sell 100 million phones in India and another in China and hell the
kids in the US suddenly like small phones it’s all gravy for me. Everything
improves if I can increase the number of potential customers and markets. My
parts become cheaper because I’m ordering more, cost per unit drops and so on
and so forth.

And I’m basing my position on the reason for the SE on recent comments made
during the last Apple earnings conference call that took place I think it was
last Tuesday or Wednesday. I’m an investor in many things, Apple being one so
I track things like their earnings calls and analysts comments. As I
mentioned, Carl Ikon made a whopper of a comment this morning. There was a lot
covered in the last call about the SE especially as it related to sales in the
east.
