That's NotTheReasoning they gave at its ReleaseParty BackInMarch (March2016)
And, if you are Right-Correct, Why not simply only Release it in those Areas?
I know a LotOfPeople, who Desire the
SmallerFormFactor RatherThan the LargerFormFactor because SizeMatters
We'll Agree2Disagree

Actually, that has nothing to do with why the smaller phone was released.
The real reason is because in the Indian and
Chinese markets the 4 inch phone is
king. Chinese and other far eastern customer
blocks represent a much larger block of business
than even the United States and European
markets. You’re looking at almost 3 billion
people between two countries. Apple isn’t
going to try to fight cultural norms and sell a
6 inch phone to a 4 inch phone customer.
There’s a lot on CNBC today on this topic if
it interests you on any level. Lots of concern
over the fact Apple made this move and the
target markets (China and India) are under
economic stress so with the higher margins in
the SE production and the declination in the far
east markets Apple may have some real short term sales issues with the SE.
Depends on the state of the consumers in these markets.

Anybody remember the 30 pin connector? How
about those who complained when the original 12
inch MacBook came out with his single connector? Did Apple change? No.

Iâ€Ã¢Ã¢„¢m sure. Thereâ⢀™s way to
much to gain by havinging a digital signal
source tto think about including a headphone
jack. You also have the huge space
savings. I know it sounds silly the sizes of
jacks but when you’re fighting for
millimeters everythinging counts. Just at a
few millimeters may be the difference between
processing power or radio features or new
components not in place yet. (extra camera
needs room, etc. I think the days of headphone
jacks are numbered once a new standard is
formed. Will it be lightning, probably not but
I could definitely see some sort of universal
port that supports USB / audio / what ever
instead of having a port for each function. Maybe USB-C?

InTheFuture quite possibly the iPhone8 (because
the iPhone7S & iPhone7S+ & iPhone7PRO will likely be the SameDesign as the 7)
