Robin, great responses by the way I like your angle even if we might have a little different view point.
I think we’re pretty close though. I think the idea of people leaving the Apple Orchard for other pastures is right on the money. That’s not trivial to do, you might have a lot of money invested in content and so forth. I ran in to this on my first attempt of trying Android. So I totally agree, I think this will be a factor that prevents people from jumping ship. Next, the folks who grumble, what you might get maybe 100,000 tops on a petition online. (if that?) Hell, let’s call it 1,000,000. If a million people didn’t buy iPhone 7 models, do you think it would even show up in the numbers? When you consider Apple usually sells 8 - 10 million phones on the first day? Add to that the people who are migrating to a smart phone the first time and others switching from Android. That’s what we like to call churn. I’m not sure adding a headphone jack will appreciably impact churn. So I think a vocal few might be coloring our impressions because the majority who just couldn’t be bothered aren’t represented. > On Apr 29, 2016, at 8:55 AM, Robin <robin-mel...@comcast.net> wrote: > > It doesn't (ReallyDoesn't) Matter2Me either, but I am simply wondering about > Those, who gave TheImpression they would QuitePossibly LeaveApple if Apple > Removed its HeadPhoneJack, & tried to persuade Apple to KeepIt by > SigningAPetition > > I just don't UnderStand TheDifference between WirelessHeadPhones & > BlueToothHeadPhones (i.e., WirelessEarBuds & BlueToothEarBuds) > > Personally, I think People are TooInvested IN Apple'sGarden to ThinkAbout > Switching/Leaving Apple > > Besides they would BeRequired to Learn HowTo navigate another OS > At 05:48 AM 4/29/2016, you wrote: >> Yes but there’s no way that people will cry about a headphone jack. >> >> Remember, Apple will include headphones. 99% of the consumers will not care >> how these headphones attach to their phone.
