Hi Anne,

Oh, that's interesting. When I bought my MacBook, I thought that at
one point Omnipage had a version for the Mac. But then when I went to
my Apple store to get my Macbook, they had a list posted of aps for
the Mac, and Omnipage wasn't on it. Good to know that I wasn't
imagining the fact that they did have a Mac version at one point.

I admire your scruples about chopping books, but for better or for
worse, I don't have them. :) I just don't have the patience to stand
there and feed books a page at a time. Fortunately, I also have
friends who are happy to take my chopped books, so at least they still
have a life once I'm done with them.

So, if ReadIris 12 is a disaster, can one still get an older version?
Also, if one does get an earlier version, is there any way to initiate
a scan that is slightly less complicated than the one Krister seems to
use?
Best,
Donna
