It does seem strange to remove the characters without replacing them. I wonder
if they used the area those bitmaps would normally be for some extra code.
Maybe for handling the Norwegian modem or keyboard?
If the area is truly just blank, then I bet Norwegian folk in the 80s would
have found a way to upgrade the ROM to get better compatibility with M100
software "for free".
I'm still curious about INSTAL.BA. What speed did you transmit the game at? Did
the special letters get converted into [\]{|} and vice versa?
