There is already a registered converter for MS Word. It uses HTML
formatting, which Word can import without too much trouble.
Unfortunately eLyXer (using the --html option) is not used for this
task, even though IMHO it produces better output in most cases.

Of course you are never going to get good Math with an HTML
intermediate step, but text and some formatting is readily imported
into Word. Same for OpenOffice.org Writer. This is enough for many
people. If you have any further suggestions please let me know.
