Thanks for the fast reply, The suggested solution worked perfect! PLEASE NOTE HOWEVER that the name of the file is "marvosym.sty" (in windows standard installation it rests in C:\texmf\tex\latex\marvosym\) and NOT "mavrosym.sty" as mentioned in the other Mail (probably a typo) ...I only found out because the second time I searched for the file I made the 'right' typo myself...
I have two more questions though: 1) How would I figure out that the error comes from marvosym.sty, as it is not mentioned in the errormessage? 2) Will this problem be resolved with future versions of miktex or lyx?
