Well, the problem in this case is that there is actually not 
error at all -- latex and pdflatex did what you have told them to 
do. Just it wasn't what you wanted. :-)

Moreover, this is strictly speaking not LyX FAQ, but rather TeX 
one. And the URL you're searching for is www.lyx.org/help.
