I've tested several pdf-tools and the best was Adobe Acrobat.

Is it? That it is the news -- so far the only variant was Acrobat Reader, which is not capable of doing all this stuff. And even Reader is not in sync with Win/Mac versions (IIRC, I gave up on it and using only kghostview/xpdf and eagerly waiting on kpdf).

Oops. You are right, all the things I described are only possible with Acrobat Standard or Professional.
And it's astonishing that it's not available for Linux but for MacOS. See here:
