there.
I don't see those too, but I have no idea what they do. Does
something not work? Do you get some error somewhere complaining about
those folders missing? What are you trying to do?

I came across this problem when trying to change the default table style
for my current document: Document > Settings > Text Layout > Table Style
> Default Style. Changing the setting from Default to any of the
options listed, clicking OK and then trying to insert a table either by
menu or toolbar button causes an immediate SIGSEGV. I can cure the
problem by copying the tabletemplates folder from the LyX > Resources
directory to my user directory.
