I have been using Lyx-1.0.4 for a long time and it is
extremely robust, I have never lost anything I wrote with it.
I have recently moved to Lyx-1.1.5 and I have experienced some
extrange behaviour with cross-references. I am writing my Ph.D.
Thesis, there are lots of figures and cross-references. Sometimes,
when I add a new label, and its corresponding cross-reference,
and I "update the postscript", an [?] may appear in the ghostview.
If I close the document, open it up again and select "view postscript"
the problem disappears...
* Is lyx-1.1.5 as robust as lyx-1.0.4 ?.
* Is there a "format conversion program" between both versions?
(from 1.1.5 to 1.0.4)
* Do you think it is a good idea to continue working with lyx-1.1.5
instead of using lyx-1.0.4 if I currently don't need all the
new added features ?
I have RH6.0 with lyx-1.0.4, I downloaded lyx-1.1.5.i386.rpm from
Kayvan Sylvan web page, and did rpm -Uvh lyx-1.1.5.i386.rpm
Did I do something wrong? Did I miss something?
I would like to congratulate the developers for the great job
they are doing to improve this marvellous Word Processor. Lyx-1.1.5
looks really great !
