No. It is too slow here, too. Maybe the fact that my machine is not the
fastest (1.3 GHz Duron) plays also a role.
Mine is the same and it is slow as well.
But please let us stop these secondary discussions and get to do some real
work. Once the internal encoding mess is sorted out one could talk about
speed and necessary optimizations, but before it does not make sense,
because you don't know how many conversions will be there in the end.
Sure but this a non-related and old issue. Lars says that, with the
PageDown test, the screen is not repainted up until he release the
PageDown key. Do you see the same behaviour?
