Yes, but it shows the places where 1.33 and 1.34 are not source compatible
that matter for LyX.

What problems? Are there others than the gcc-4.1 related bug 2677?
If there are serious problems then compatibility is of course not important.
We should however have a configure test that complains if system boost is
choosen and if that is too old.

We also need to think about 1.4.
