Removing the -depth 8 is probably a good idea; it used to be needed long ago, but I suspect it is now more harmful than useful. In general, I would prefer that you refrain from adding patches to your releases, especially when matters are not windows-centric, and for bugs that have been present for ages (2445). BTW, I saw someone complaining that LyX for windows was very slow. Did you compile with --disable-stdlib-debug? JMarc
