Again: no one took out that feature - it was never there. We decided to move the function to the document dialog, because it should be much clearer now what it does and what not. The function itself has not changed as far as I remember. The "Save as Default" function saves the settings of the class - those in the document dialog. Preambles et al do not belong to the class settings. We have the template stuff for that. But you can fill out a feature request on bugzilla ;-) Juergen.
