Seems like a documentation bug. (I learned about defaults.lyx only "accidentially" by regularly reading the lyx-users mailing list.) In the Customization guide, either in Section 2.1.2 "directories" or in the section 6.4 "Creating Templates", a hint that defaults.lyx is the template used with >File>New would be nice. BTW: In my (1.1.6) "de_Customization.lyx", the Section 2.1.2 Verzeichnisse (Directories) doesnot list the templates/ directory (the English version does). Günter -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
