On Windows it is already the case. On Mac hunspell is an option the user can choose from (the spell service of Mac OSX is the default - and does exactly what Gaston wants, e. g. LyX is accepted). On Linux it is up to the packager - AFAIK, if configure finds the hunspell developer packages installed it is compiled in. So it is already as you propose. Stephan
