I don't agree that adding more options is a good thing. LyX already
has too many options. Adding one more may seem like an easy fix, but
if we keep accumulating more and more settings things get more
complicated for users and more difficult for developers to maintain.
Especially the maintenance of icons will take a lot of time which
cannot be spend on e.g. new features.
I agree with Joost. We can better have one good set instead of a number
of different sets which are not maintained. If we would support multiple
sets, then there should be someone taking responsibility for it....
which maybe could better design new useful/missing features.
I would think twice before adding a new icon if I'm obliged to make
multiple versiones and each one adhering to a different style guideline.
That's not workable.
We can continue providing the old ones, but I guess we will not be
creating new icons especially for the old set.
Do you agree about the usability issues with the current icons?
