LibreOffice also has nice icons which are much better as compared to our
current icons.
In this example, many icons are missing or don't really match the feature.
The question is whether someone is able and willing to design a complete
icon set for at least the standard toolbars. Because LyX is a smaller
project we do need to consider the availability of standard icons. The
Oxygen icons are used by many applications and therefore a large number of
professionally designed icons is already available.
The best option is of course to have a professional designer create a full
icon set tailored to LyX. However I don't think that's realistic unless we
find a really good sponsor.
