That has not been my experience. I have been "invited" to do things
your way or get the highway:
  http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-devel@lists.lyx.org/msg150524.html
"That is why I don't support including it within LyX. [...] Alex,
do you know C++? I'd be happy to help with this, once exams are over."
And I have been "encouraged" to give you support with this project of yours:
"And then, of course, there's the fact that you've already done so
much of the hard work. My intention, if it's OK with you, is pretty
much to borrow from what you've already done, at least as far as the
format of the HTML output is concerned. [...] By the way, in order for
me to do that, it may be necessary for you to relicense, or dual
license, eLyXer."

All this for a project to which, by your own words, you have devoted
"a handful of hours" in half a year. I don't think that qualifies as
"encourage my participation in many different ways", but "require me
to be your bitch", if you pardon my French.

Another curiosity from the record:
  http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-devel@lists.lyx.org/msg150501.html
"Just to be clear, here are what I regard as the showstoppers:
Theorem-type environments aren't rendered; math support is marginal,
esp with regard to custom macros; BibTeX isn't supported, so far as I
can tell; cross-references omit the related text. Other things I'd
want to investigate would include support for AMS environments, and
arrays and the like generally; treatment of mini pages and the like. I
also worry about the lack of extensibility, i.e., the inability to
deal with custom styles."

Are you going to apply the same criteria to "LyX HTML"? Will you not
enable it until it supports theorem-type environments, full math
support, custom macros, BibTeX, AMS environments, mini-pages and
custom styles, to start with? So according to Pavel "LyX HTML" is the
long-term option -- when do you estimate it will be complete and
supporting all these features?

And for the record, eLyXer now supports everything in your list except
for custom macros and custom styles, which (as your hours of work in
"LyX HTML" will have shown you) are impossible to do. So I guess that
you should be supporting eLyXer now that most showstoppers have been
solved.

After reviewing the quotes above, that you don't think I am a "team
player" is rather flattering.

I have mixed feelings. Your lack of technical knowledge is worrying,
but at the same time your lack of dedication balances things off quite
a bit :P

Alex.
