Speaking as a user, I also think of storage. It's really a mess to try to archive a set of files with LaTeX if you need to include figures and other graphic material. Takes a zip file (with or without subdirectories, as in flat or full ODF). If you don't have a well structured set of files it is a nightmare. Luis.
