What I mean is that the subject of your mail is misleading. Nobody has a alpha1 (it was not really announced) and yours has slightly different fixes. the headline [announce] preview test release of LyX 1.6svn-r24066 for Windows would have been fine with me. > Releasing test builds is in generally necessary to get bug reports as > soon as possible. But it would have been better to pressure Jose' to release an 'official' alpha (announced on the relevant places) that compiles. JMarc
