Thanks for the patch. I am not sure however what the rationale for the change was. Paul, can you tell us more (assuming you did the change?)
The earlier version used the Theorem environment (no automatic numbering). The later version used the List environment (automatic numbering), but broke the formatting.
My version fixed the formatting.
